Day of The Dead

The Day of The Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is an important celebration in Mexico, where we honour those who have passed before us.  Growing up, the hometown of both my parents (Guerrero; Michoacan) are renowned for their Day of the Dead festivities.  The colour, design, beauty and imagery from these celebrations influenced my life and artistic vision.

I love to believe that for one night every year, the souls of our loved ones can come back (in spirit) and celebrate with us.  Keeping the memories of those who are not with us anymore alive in our hearts.
